    Who writes Daf Chazarah

Daf Chazarah is written and maintained by a learner who follows the daily Daf Yomi cycle, for learners who want the daf to stay with them after the shiur ends.

    Why the summaries exist

The summaries began as personal review notes taken while learning the daily daf with Reb Eli Stefansky's MDY shiur. Written notes made the difference between finishing a daf and remembering it, so they were shared — first with a small WhatsApp group, then publicly as a daily PDF, and now as this website and its apps.

    Daily production process

    1. The day's shiur is learned in full, with notes taken on each sugya as it is covered.
    2. The notes are condensed into a single page: main sugyos, the central machlokes, and the practical conclusion.
    3. The summary is checked against the daf itself so that nothing attributed to the Gemara is misstated.
    4. The page is typeset as a printable PDF, with the day's sponsorship dedication where one exists.
    5. It is published to the website, pushed to the apps, sent to the WhatsApp group and bot, and emailed to newsletter subscribers.
    6. At the end of each week, seven dafim are compiled into a weekly review PDF.

    Methodology

The summaries are review material, not a substitute for learning the daf or hearing the shiur. They are deliberately short — the aim is a page that can be read in a few minutes and re-read the next day. Halachic conclusions are recorded as they were presented in the shiur and should not be relied on for practical psak; a rav should be consulted for halacha l'maaseh.
